ASTON MARTIN DB11
Manufactured in the UK, the new Aston Martin DB 11 is a high-point in vehicle development from one of the most trusted luxury heritage brands this country has to offer. Every millimetre of the new vehicle has been redesigned, making the DB11 the most powerful, most efficient and most dynamically gifted DB model in Aston Martin’s history. It has already won a string of awards and its exceptional design and cutting-edge technology led it to be dubbed ‘star of the show’ when introduced at the Geneva Motor Show last year. Its 5.2 litre turbocharged V12 engine will easily take you to 200mph, moving from 0-62mph in a rather exciting 3.9 seconds.
DUCATI XDIAVEL S
Ducati have entered the Cruiser domain with a bang and have done so in their own inimitable way. This motorbike is a true Cruiser, but with all the design, technology and performance one expects from a Ducati thoroughbred.
The XDiavel brings together two worlds: the Cruiser world – low speeds, relaxed riding, long journeys and feet forward ergonomics – and the Ducati world, characterised by Italian style, refined engineering and unparalleled performance.
Ducati’s new ‘technocruiser’ is long, low, muscular, with a modern shape and technologically cutting-edge components; this is how Ducati designers envisaged the XDiavel when they began the initial sketches – they wanted a monster with sex appeal!
This impressive, futuristic-looking levitating turntable will spin your vinyl flawlessly. The designers from this Kickstarter-funded project say it was conceived in order to deliver the highest quality sound and design aesthetics. It uses a patented magnetic system to levitate the disc while spinning it at an incredibly precise 33.3rpm or 45rpm; with the feet that suspend the platter retracting when you press play.
It also has vinyl protecting features, such as the built-in UPS system which automatically lifts the tonearm in the event of a power outage or when you reach the end of the record. Not only this, but because the record is suspended in air, it experiences practically zero friction or vibration interference.
YAMAHA FX CRUISER SVHO
Possibly the world’s most luxurious WaveRunner, the FX Cruiser SVHO is an incredibly versatile craft. With a 1.8 litre Super Vortex High Output engine – the most powerful engine Yamaha has created in a watercraft – it can go from a standing start to 30mph in just 1.5 seconds and has a top speed of 70mph (60knots).
This highly manoeuvrable machine allows you to raise and lower the bow to achieve the best acceleration and comfort. In use this gives you effortless carves, accurate turns and flat-out excitement to test the skill of any watersports enthusiast. The latest model of this incredible fun-in-the-water machine also boasts a special ‘Cruiser’ three-person seat.
